Justice of the Peace

Many brick and mortar religious institutions have their own person or people who perform their ceremonies and usually will only do so within their own denomination and building. I aim to perform your ceremony where it is most convenient, meaningful to you, or the most beautiful and memorable so that you may start your life together on the right path by joining your hearts in matrimony with a clear future knowing that you began it in the place of your choosing. Finding the right place is truly the beginning of your journey together and with that you can focus on everything else. A service is a small part of your commitment to each other, and I wish to take the work out of making it perfect for you so that you may focus on that which is more important.

Religious Ceremony

This is a ceremony that incorporates the mentioning of God and certain Psalms and Verses that are important and paramount the the sanctity of the service. This can be any religion and does not have to adhere to those that are most common (ie. Pagan, Wicca, Buddhist, Christian, etc.). The ceremony is catered to the couple and the service will be written specifically for you.

Hybrid Ceremony

Sometimes referred to as a semi-religious ceremony, I prefer to call this a hybrid ceremony as it does not have to cater to a specific religion or faith doctrine. This type of ceremony can incorporate the mention of a higher power or use certain Verses that have special meaning to the wedding couple. Like all ceremonies I perform, the wedding script would be completely catered to the couple and can be changed to make it special for you.

SIGNING CEREMONY

This type of servicce has no fanfare and is just the signing of the marriage license to usher your marriage into legality. Once this is done you can have a ceremony at a later time if you so choose by anyone that you wish to perform your ceremony as you are already legally married within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Non-Religious

This is a ceremony that does not have any mention of God or a higher power. This type of ceremony focuses entirely on the couple getting married and can unify one without the use of scripture of verse. The ceremony will be written specifically for the couple and can be changed and amended as needed to make the day special to the wedding couple.

LGBTQIA+ Centered Ceremony

This ceremony can be specifically used for those who identify within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum and wish for the ceremony to specifically celebrate the inclusion of such topics. Love is love and everyone should have the chance to celebrate that love with their partner. This type of service can have mention of God or an absence of the mention of a higher power; it is absolutely the choice of the couple.

RENEWAL OF VOWS

Many couples choose to renew their vows after so many years of marriage. This can happen for many reasons but the ultimate goal is to signify your renewed commitment to one another. Although you are legally married and one does not need a licensed Justice of the Peace to perform such a ceremony, many prefer to have it done by a person who is licensed to do so as we tend to have the knowledge and skills necessary to do such things. Personal preference and a service that is catered to the couple is the best way to go!
